Cummins Theological Seminary
Raising the Bar of Excellence in Ministry
705 South Main St.
The spiritual life is stressed. All classes are opened with prayer and students conduct chapel services. Practice preaching is made part of the chapel service using various orders of worship. Students conduct prayer meetings. At stated intervals, members of the faculty and guest clergy preach and administer the Lord’s Supper.
The Seminary, being an institution for the training of students for Christian work, requires a high quality of behavior of its students. It reserves the right to request withdrawal of any student who fails to maintain a high quality of behavior or who violates his Christian testimony in any way, including the keeping of the rules and regulations of the Seminary. Students who have been withdrawn under these conditions may be re-admitted, only by special action of the faculty.
STUDENT BODY ORGANIZATION
The student body is encouraged to organize democratically and operate under a constitution and by-laws, which are drafted and amended by the body. Officers of the body will be elected annually.
The Seminary recognizes the need to aid and develop in the students an appreciation for appropriate, reverent and worshipful music. A Seminary Student Choir is organized each year.
